Once again I find myself praising the Lord as I look back over the week that He has given. Thankful for His mercies each day and the success of His Word going out into the lives of these people. It is refreshing to read of God's promises and then to see them in action in the children's lives for He has brought each one of them into His loving care and provides for their every need.

In our evening bible studies we have finished looking at the life of Jacob and we had some wonderful final studies in Genesis 32 and 33 with Jacob's great fear of Esau and how he prayed to God. Below is one of our memory verses which the children love to learn. I've prepared a bible study test for this Sunday on what we've learnt from Jacob and the prizes being some bible comics from New Zealand, and it's safe to say that everyone is very excited for the test.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
We are now looking at the life of Joseph which is full of gems. So much that the first study was only four verses. Here we saw the character of Joseph and were challenged by a question - 'Are we wearing our colourful coat?'. Our colourful coat being the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Sunday morning messages have also been going well and the feedback from the people is one of great encouragement. The last two Sunday's we looked at the two letters of Paul to the Thessalonians. I gave a detailed introduction to the letters, looking at how the Christians at Thessalonica were not only new believers and suffering great persecution but they had a earnest desire to know God's truth and they certainly knew a lot. We also saw how Paul comforted them through the teaching of Christ's Second Coming. After reading the entire two letters out loud, I then gave a detailed outline of the events of the soon coming rapture, tribulation, judgement seat of Christ, marriage supper of the Lamb, judgement day of the Lord, 1,000 year reign, and then the new Heaven and Earth in Revelation 21 and 22.
"He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." - Revelation 22:20

The weather here has been a reasonable 25 degrees each day with a few short bursts of rain showers throughout the day. This year it has rained a lot more than previous years which is unusual but no complaints yet other than not being able to dry clothes.
My health is a battle each day as I still find the diet in India difficult but thanking the Lord I am still alive and able to be useful for His service.

The children love to sing and I've taught them a few new songs. The above video is of them one evening after the bible study singing 'This is the day'.
Prayer is always needed and much appreciated for the Lord's work here in India.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 - "Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you."
